Day 210: Travel Blogging Calendar 2013

I could still remember in college that despite having those thick Nursing books to read, I gave a few hours in “Designing Projects” that involve charities. (I have these incredible hands that God gave me and I always involve myself in making things that are for a good cause) For quite a number of years, I have worked with an American foundation that helps fund cancer research as well as providing the basic needs of those who are in poverty – especially in the Philippines. A lot of funds raised were given to several organizations in the country and I deeply feel grateful for being part of the team. My teenage life was a BLAST!

Any sort of talent can definitely give back to the community! πŸ™‚ Well, behind this laptop screen, I have been working on some designs (despite the tons of project line-up I have) that I am sure will be of great help to the people who will benefit from this cause.

Travel Blogging Calendar 2013: I made some graphic design work here – logo, ads, and website enhancement.

300As travelers, we are forced to be aware. We must be aware of what we’re doing, where we’re going, and what impact our presence has on our surroundings. Travelers are a socially-minded group of people who are often forced to ponder life’s misgivings through experience.

It is for this reason that the travel blogging community has banded together to give back to the communities who have nurtured us and helped us to grow.

As a group, we have compiled a list of almost 20 charities that we would like to support. Now we must select two.

The selected charities will receive 100% of the proceeds. None of the staff, bloggers or other contributors receive any compensation for their efforts. Everything is done out of the kindness of our hearts.

24 of the internet’s finest travel bloggers have posed and purred for the camera just so we could print these calendars for you and donate the proceeds to charity!

Two calendars will be printed this year! We know–it’s ambitious, but we’re a hardheaded group with good deeds on our minds.Β You are going to see a Men of Travel Blogging Calendar and a Women of Travel Blogging Calendar!

Working with Jeremy was such fun. It is so great to be a part of the Team! An honor, even!Β To be included under the two big names already made me smile from ear to ear πŸ˜† Shout outs also to Grasya πŸ™‚
