Day 221: Dealing with Strangers

He was literally breathing down my neck! πŸ™

I was on my way to Cebu City for the Young Life Oktober Kamp 2012 event via sea. Of course, there are a number of things to do on the vessel within that span of time so I decided to stay in the canteen to do some literary work, mock-ups, and doodles. I felt like a princess! lol!

While doodling, a man from the counter walked right pass me and placed himself on the back of my seat. Basically we were seated back to back. I did not mind him but I got that feeling that he’s up to no good. (I tend to pre-judge before engaging in conversations from total strangers) So I went on doodling on my notebook. πŸ˜€ – try to read a related article

A few minutes after, he was staring at my work. Talked a lot of nonsense and asked me if I were an artist. I was mute that time to avoid any potential trouble. I nodded my head.Β Then he followed up with another question… I nodded again. By that time I think he already felt that I DON’T want to talk to him. I faked a call too just to shoo him away. πŸ˜›

I guess my plan worked! Sometimes it is good to talk to strangers but always remember to use your instinct. Always be careful and always be conscious of your surroundings. Happy Travels! πŸ™‚
