Earlier I was complaining about the 4 hour bus ride from Bacolod City to Cauayan Municipality of Negros Occidental and somehow I was even faced with a bigger problem – or I think it was.
Don’t get me wrong. A boat trip from Iloilo to Cebu is much cheaper than a 45-minute flight. The only thing that’s sort of inconvenient for some is the overnight stay and the hundreds of passengers sharing the ride with you. Well, if you are not really on a tight schedule and you want to have a whole new experience then I suggest you try taking a boat this time. It is also good for the pocket if you are on a strict budget zone. Haha.
A price of Php760 (one way) is already the cheapest (Economy Class) – includes a mini 2 feet x 6 feet bed for you to rest on, a small tv unit for all of you to share, fresh air and cool mornings, a lounge, a canteen, a common bathroom and toilet, and not to mention, a huge boat to check out. Compare that to an expensive plane ride without even a space for your legs to stretch out. I’m just saying that it’s indeed worth your while.
What’s next for me in Cebu? I’ll be doing things I never really attempted to do at home. Stay in touch and I’ll give you the details!
