It was the 3rd Quarter Blast of the company where there’s expected product launching, global introductions, and so many surprises for everyone. I was invited to attend the event along with several others from Iloilo City last August 25. Of course, in every assembly, my favorite part is to dress corporate, put on some light make up, and yes, slip on some killer heels! I know, generally, that the SMX Convention Center is a pretty vast place so, I was already limiting myself from strolling around (especially knowing that the Mall of Asia is right next to it). ๐Ÿ˜€

company blast

I drool over business attires. ๐Ÿ˜†

Me? I was so happy because I was simply “living my dream” of dressing-up like a business executive and wearing those peep-toed black high-heeled pumps to tie my look together. It was fantastic! But came noon, my stomach was growling and I instantly decided to treat myself with a sandwich and maybe a venti coffee from Starbucks. I slowly stood with all of my pride and glory in tact, I fixed myself, and I began to walk…

I walked on a slow pace… I walked like a boss – smiling at everyone who passed by, lifting my chin up as if I won a prestigious award… Seventy grueling steps after (I was not even close to the elevator yet), I stopped. My feet were killing me! It felt like my toes were being wrapped so tight just like that Chinese tradition of “foot binding.” – ๐Ÿ˜† COMICAL AND HILARIOUS!

Try climbing a mountain with these babies and you’ll certainly forget the light of day! haha.

Nobody really insisted that I should wear those heels. Oops. ๐Ÿ™‚ I just wanted to because I have several pairs that I am incredibly dying to use. It’s a girl thing and I bet most of you never expected from me since traveling does not necessarily require heels… Duh? ๐Ÿ˜› It’s a no-brainer after all.

Lesson learned?

Always bring an extra pair ofย flip flopsย or even flat shoes. Do whatever it takes to make your traveling feet comfortable. They are the ones that drag us to somewhere marvelous, anyway! ๐Ÿ™‚
