Effortless Flying by Wire at Bukidnon

If you are looking for some adrenaline-oozing adventure, or a way to relax and enjoy nature while hovering at 4500 ft above ground, then I recommend you should definitely try “flying by wire” aka Ziplining at Asia’s Longest Dual Zipline in Dahilayan Adventure Park, Bukidnon. Trust me, I was never really a fan of “extreme” heights, but this experience sparked the “crazy” in me. After that 840-meter stretch of “feeling-like-flying,” I was craving for more! Read more →

Day 257: Cashless Departure to the Homeland

On the 6th day of this Mindanao Adventure, everybody is now experiencing overall body malaise, fatigue, and most of all, struggling in the verge of bankruptcy! Well, what can you expect from pre-planned slash unexpected plans from our itinerary and budget? It was a roller-coaster ride of positives and negatives in our budget that some of us even withdrawn from respective banks just to get back home safe. Lol. Read more →

Day 256: Drying Laundries at Ramon Magsaysay Park

Remember my dilemma at packing and me being a virgin at backpacking? I suppose this still covers it. Although, I am trying my best to fit into the culture of being an expert at traveling light. Haha! 🙂 At 8:45AM, we are now here in Ramon Magsaysay Park, just  near the Sta. Ana Wharf – probably just a 15-minute walk or a 2-minute tricycle ride. Read more →

Day 253: Waking up in Cagayan de Oro

Yesterday was confusing. Our first flight was at 8AM to Davao and about 5 hours after smelling the atmosphere of the “king of fruits” – Durian, we then boarded to another plane to Cagayan de Oro (CDO). It felt like we were this bunch of kids that are really up for anything as long as we could head back home “ALIVE.” haha! Another journey begins. Read more →

Day 252: The Live Google Earth

Before Google Maps was even born, I was already an avid user of the Google Earth. I am not sure right now but before, this was a downloadable software that works just like the recent Google Maps but the only thing is, it functions even offline – so viewing it before was much easier without the hassle of connecting to a server. Day 247: Every Darn Peso Counts!

The challenge? Six Hundred Pesos for Two Days in the City of Smiles! 😮

I was invited by a friend to go to Bacolod to attend the opening of a their “milk tea house” along the 21st Street BS Aquino Drive. Of course I went! Who would turn down an offer like that? The only problem was I only had Php600 literally in my pocket. Read more →

Day 121: Last Day of Being 21

Two weeks of going about life. Two weeks of doing things out of my ordinary lifestyle. For two weeks, I was able to drink an expensive sparkling water from France, I was able to play several “good notes” on my saxophone with the right embouchure, I ran my first marathon, I spent thousands in one single day (which I hope will not happen again), I finished reading a novel in two days, I cooked some Italian food, I drank a fine glass of red wine on a hot afternoon while working on some designs, and I splurged myself with great tasting Chicago deep dish pizza and Starbucks coffee. Day 104: Workstations While on the Road

I’ve been designing for several years already and I have been to some “comfortable” and “uncomfortable” places as well. You get to see those photos of a laptop and the crystal clear blue beach background more often for those seasoned digital nomads. I think I could say that I can probably work anywhere as long as there’s a strong internet connection. And somehow, the beach is not the only workstation you can have. Read more →

Day 102: Route Plotting – Mindanao

Ok, after making the Visayas Route, I made a Mindanao Route as well. Of course, I don’t know where the transportation goes in that area – I was simply guessing in the whole duration of this planning process. This is in line with the #PHL80_23 project. Check this out! Read more →

Day 100: How To Plan For A 6-Month Backpacking Trip Around The Philippines

“Planning is one thing. Doing it is another.” I am giving myself roughly 6 months and 15 days to plan for #PHL80_23. Believe me, planning is critical – else, I might end up on a sidewalk asking people “what the heck am I doing here?”  If there’s no plan, it’s like jumping off a plane without a parachute strapped on you. lol! 🙂 And no, I don’t have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. haha! This is my longest blog post yet! tralalala… Read more →
