Boracay Summer Playground

“The waves curl right towards the white, sandy, shore and a young, chubby girl, jumps over the large current – beaming her glorious smile to the passing crowd. She scoops a handful of powdery sand, dabbles a bit of water to form a ball, and just when her brother came aclose, she docks.” Read more →

Day 51: Snowball Day

Yes, I know. I’m dreaming of snowballs to conquer the Philippines at this time of the year. Haha. We could not deny that the scorching heat of the sun is trying to kill us UV ray after UV ray. So, I went down to Fuel.PH’s store at Smallville and well, me and my friend, RJ, ordered Php30 snowballs, which of course, are divine! Not to mention their moist carrot cake and “mint” milk tea. Yum! Beat The Summer Heat at Pasalan Falls

In my recent trip to my father’s homeland in Cauayan, I never really expected that there’s an existing gem hidden behind the trees and mountains. All I know is that there are beaches and it is such a great place to relax. Well, I was completely wrong. For a frequent visitor of the place, I admit I failed to appreciate its phenomenal beauty. Local Legends of The Chocolate Hills

On our way to the popular tourist destination site of Bohol, Philippines, I was having an awkward conversation with our driver. Although he’s not our tour guide, he still tried to answer my queries. Obviously, I could not hold my thoughts together: I was really curious of how these hills came about and why was it named “Chocolate Hills?” I even joked about it by asking a ridiculous question if these legendary hills were edible. Good thing the driver could not understand Hiligaynon – else, I’d be such a lousy joker. 🙂 Read more →

Ironic Two-Hour Fast Ferry to Bohol

It was my first time to ride a ferry boat going to somewhere I haven’t laid my eyes on. So there we were at the seaport waiting in line to purchase our tickets, I was very excited and very eager to ride the boat… When I first heard of “Fast Ferry,” I immediately said to myself “Hey. This is great! This will actually take us a few minutes to get there.” Then, when I got hold of our pass, it spelled 2 long hours! 🙁 Yeah, I accepted the fact that it will be, obviously, a long ride to Bohol. Cebu to Bohol 4D/3N Itinerary Fail

I was searching for 2009-2010 files from my so-called “travels” and so I browsed through the folders with names like SUMMER_10, OCTOBORA, and worse, GKDST. Luckily, I was able to find some useable images for this blog. I honestly don’t know how to start a “travel blog” entry but I guess this is worth a shot. With that awkward introduction, please forgive me for my “trying-hard” writings – I’m sure it will improve in the long run. Read more →
